Is... Is this really L-Lindblum..? Did I fall asleep..?

[Wonderland, please have one absolutely baffled little Black Mage staring up at the Mansion from the gardens, unsure what to make of the building before him. He's heard Lindblum was big--not to say the Mansion itself wasn't huge--but... only one building..?

After a moment he crouches down in thought, looking at the ground for a brief moment before looking back up at it. Nope. It was still there.]

I wonder where e-everyone is...

[Oh, right, the term "mirror" meant more here than it probably did in other worlds.]

On the other side of the mirrors is another world. The residents there resemble us in appearance but differ in personality. They're called "Mirrors" too.

[He thinks for a moment. Weren't... the manufactured Black Mages like Vivi but acted different? Now he's wondering.]

I know. A lot of others can say the same.

Sometimes the mirrors write on the glass mirrors to communicate. They can hear and see us, but not the other way around.

Are they nice?

For the most part. They're separate individuals and should be treated as such.

Alrighty... I-I'll say hi to them if I see one.

[That actually made Minato smile a little.]

I think some of them would like that.

Oh uhm... Y-You said we couldn't see them, right? M-Maybe I'll write back if one of the mirrors on the walls says something.

Not usually. But sometimes they cross over here.

So they can v-visit us?

When they do, they force their version from here to go to the other world. We can't exist on the same side as our Mirror.

[Well, they weren't supposed to, anyway, but it had happened before.]

...W-Why not?

It's as though we can't be on the same side as our reflection in a regular mirror.

Oh... M-Maybe Wonderland would get confused if e-everyone was on the same side...

[Minato nodded.]

Maybe. You'll know when there are Mirrors around. People you normally know will act a little different.

Uhm, w-would they think I'm r-rude if I ask if they're a mirror?

I don't think so. But you can ask them which side they're from, if you're worried.

[When they reached the Mansion, Minato held the door open for the little mage to step inside first.]

This is where most if not all of us live. As I said, any room that's not taken, you can stay there.

Uhm... Okay...

[He steps into the mansion front hall and looks around. Looked pretty big.]

D-Does it have to be upstairs?

[Minato followed after him.]

No, there are rooms on the First Floor. You can pick one of those.

A-Alrighty... I'm going to see i-if there are empty rooms here...

It's almost like a b-big inn.

[Except the no checking out part.]

Mn, sort of. Good luck on your search. I'm on the Third Floor, the fifth room, if you need anything.
