Swallowed by the sky

[Vivi is sitting on one of the stools in the kitchen, watching as a doll of his Grandpa Quan is awkwardly walking on the counter by some pots and pans. Even as a doll his Grandpa seems to have a love for food...]

D... D-does anyone know what a-a Jabberwocky looks like..? I-I was told it was a monster... but back h-home we had a lot of monsters and I don't think w-we had this one.

[Vivi is a little horrified. He woke up this morning to find part of his room missing, the outside wall wide open and the floor doesn't feel too sound. He's tried making his way to the door to get out but a groan from the floorboards sounded so ominous that he froze where he stood. He's pulling at the rim of his hat nervously, not knowing where to go as he looks around his ruined room. He takes another experimental step but squeaks in terror and pulls his foot back when it sounds like the floor is just about ready to collapse.]

Th-this event seems to be upsetting people... But it doesn't look like anything's happened...

[Vivi looks off camera a bit in thought, a hand holding the rim of his hat.]

I don't get it.

[The feed shows Vivi almost anxiously pacing in his room, wringing his gloved hands in worry. Yes, the noise was scaring him, but being stuck in the mansion without even a chance to go outside for a break from the chaos was even scarier. The thought of sleeping was the furthest thing on his mind and he stops for a moment. He's not too sure if it will help or not but maybe if he finds a snack from the kitchen and tries to find a quiet moment, he can get his thoughts straightened out and not get too frightened by the event.]

[Vivi is walking into the hall, normal before the video feed seems to freeze and hisses into black, later showing a larger portion of the hallway with a Torama appearing in front of the confused black mage. He thought there were no monsters inside of the mansion and... his last mage staff is with him, he didn't remember carrying that! He tries to run but he's not going anywhere with the words "Can't Escape!" flashing at the top of the screen. Instead he sees the following options appear after a moment:

Attack
Blk Magic
Focus
Item

He stares at it for a moment or two before selecting Blk Magic and finding a list of his spells, thankfully. He chooses Fira and begins casting it at the monster but somehow he knows it's going to take more than one shot. That type of monster was at Kuja's stronghold in the desert...!]

[Vivi is sitting on the ground in the area of where the POWs were kept, hugging his knees and looking down. It was all by accident, really. He just wanted to help out but when his side was losing against the French Legion forces, things went from bad to worse. He, with others, is being held prisoner after being captured and from the constant barrage of threats and bullets going off at night, he was well scared.

Now the sun was coming up and the little boy knew it was going to be another scorcher today. Maybe if he was good and pretended that he was invisible then he wouldn't get in trouble with the enemy...]

[Vivi is sitting on the edge of her bed, her hands held in her lap as she kicks her feet slightly.]

I-I wonder if they'll grow in too... I-I mean a lot of people have theirs already... And they're really happy... B-but what if I'm different...

[She grasps the edges of her hat and readjusts it a bit pointlessly by habit. She knew she was young but...]

I-I'm sure any day now.

Th-this Christmas thing is really confusing... Something to do with someone named Santa... Christmas Cakes... and chicken...

B-but you're supposed to give someone a gift because you're their friend, right?

[Vivi pauses for a moment, counting to himself quietly in the background before he speaks up again.]

Uhm... Mister Denmark, Miss Kairi, Miss Terra, Eiko... What do you want for Christmas? Oh, Other Father too.

I think I can find what Mister Ganta wants...

I hope I didn't forget anybody... I've never heard of this holiday back home so I hope I'm doing this right... M-maybe I should have asked about this sooner...
